17:00 · Arrival
Where time lingers.
A complete identity for an imagined boutique hotel, shaped by the hours of an evening.
Concept projectVesper House is an original fictional hospitality brand concept developed by CVO Atlas to demonstrate its brand identity design approach. It is not a real hotel or client.
The photography is licensed from Unsplash and used as atmosphere and as surfaces for the mockups. It does not show a Vesper House property.
An intimate retreat for travellers who would rather stay in a beautifully designed house than a large hotel: warm and unhurried, quietly luxurious rather than showy.
We ruled out the usual hotel shortcuts from the start: no crowns, crests, roofs or keys.
The idea
Vesper is Latin for evening. The identity follows the hours a guest actually spends there, from arriving in the late afternoon to the lamps going down at night. Each hour takes its colour from the changing sky.

18:00 · Unpacking
The logo is a tall window: night at the top, the last warm light resting on the sill, the panes narrowing towards the horizon just as the light does.
A simplified window keeps the symbol readable at sixteen pixels.

19:00 · Supper
Five colours, one for each hour, from late sun to night. Limewash, travertine, oak and ink keep everything calm, so the hours can be used one at a time.
VESPER HOUSE
Wide-set capitals for the logo and headings.

Supper room · 19:00
A quiet sans for labels, signs and times.
20:00 · Lingering
The system carried into the things a guest would actually hold. The time of day sits quietly on each piece, and each key card takes the colour of its hour.

A welcome card on the bed, set in Newsreader with the window above it.

The supper menu: "This evening", in the hour's own colour.

A turndown note: "Goodnight. Sleep well." And the business card, for when guests want to come back.

Menus, key cards and signage show how far the identity can travel in a hotel. What each branding package includes is listed on our Branding page.

The whole identity
A window that reads as well on a steel plaque as in a browser tab, five colours that each belong to an hour, and pieces that feel like one quiet place.
